Configuring SPAM Email Account - OUTLOOK EXPRESS 5/6

STEP 1.
Launch Outlook Express

STEP 2.
Right-click on Local Folders, and then left-click on New Folder

STEP 3.
In the Folder name box, enter SPAM and then click OK

STEP 4.
Select Tools -> Message Rules -> Mail

STEP 5.
In section 1, put a tick in the condition Where the subject line contains specific words
In section 2, put a tick in the Action Move it to the specified folder
In section 3, click on the link contains specific words

STEP 6.
Enter [SPAM] in the text field, and then click Add, and then click OK

STEP 7.
In section 3, click on the link specified

STEP 8.
Click on the SPAM folder to highlight it, and then click OK

STEP 9
In section 4, enter a the rule name as Move spam to folder, and then click on OK

STEP 10.
Confirm that the new Spam Filter rule is in place, and then click OK

New messages tagged with the subject [SPAM] will now be saved directly to your SPAM folder.

You can view these messages by opening (double-clicking) the folder called SPAM

IMPORTANT : Please keep in mind that non-spam messages could end up in this folder and spam messages could end up in your Inbox.
